This would include Joliet, Will Co., Ill. I didn't have time to lookup the film of the census. If either of these families are what you are looking for, I'll make copies of the census page(s) next time. I thought I would start in the 1880 census and build on that list of names. If I am understanding your E-mail, it is possible that one of Bernards son could be your grandmother's father. If I find your grandmother and Edna listed in the 1900 census with one of Bernards sons that should help you. The spelling for Mideke was a little different than yours, as you know many times the census taker wasn't always correct in their spelling. So I have listed below the two families I found. Note that they were not living in Joliet. I do not know where Clinton or Stephenson counties are or if your family could have come from Prussia. 1.
