Hi everyone, I am searching for someone with information on either John or Elon VIRGIL who lived in Will Co., Illinois. John is listed in the 1860 census living in Plainfield and Elon is living in Du Page. I also found both in Erie County, New York in the 1850 census. I am not related to the Virgils, however in the 1860 census, my ggg grandfather Peter POMEROY is living in John VIRGIL's household, obviously learning the 'wagon making' trade from him. I am trying to search for information to see if Peter came with the Virgils from New York.. I am hoping there is a descendant of the VIRGIL's reading this list that could help me by telling me when they arrived in Illinois. Thanks Carol Ann
