    3. Good morning, There were Minard's in Crete as early as 1850. A G. W. MINARD was paid $1.00 from the estate of my 3rd great-grandfather William KEENEY on or about 5 April 1850. In the booklet "Crete Township Will County Illinois Census 1850" read by Gertrude W. Lundberg and sold by South Suburban Genealogical and Historical Society there is a listing for MINARD, George W. physician, 25 (born) NY/Melissa, 23, (born) NY. In the booklet "Crete Cemetery Corner of Exchange St. and Vincennes Ave." also published by SSG&HS: In lot 39 of the original section: Minard, Dr. Geo. W. Lot 39 - Orig. b. August 16, 1845 (I estimated date from age at death) d. 7 July 1883, aged 37 years, 10 mos. 21 days. Also Minard, Mellicent b. 7 Feb. 182-, d. 25 June 1903. In the Spring 1990 quarterly of SSG&HS is a 3 page article on the Burville family and their obituaries. A pallbearer for Lorenzo D. Burville in Sept. 1918 was a Frank Minard. When Harriet Cool Burville died Oct. 5 1918 her survivors include a daughter Annie J. (Mrs. Franklin B. Minard). Two of the pallbearers were Frank Minard and a grandson Loren Minard. Hope this helps you out. Sharon in Surprise, Az. http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/g/a/l/Sharon-H-Galitz/index.html
