Looking for information on FRANK DA RIN (could be spelled DARIN) my gggrandfather. Born Italy 1869--possibly town of Cadora in Rovigo Province; lived in Lockport, Illinois in 1893 with wife PHILOMENA PITTLAUD-DA RIN; daughter JULIA DA RIN born May 1893 in Lockport--she married EMILIO SMANIA 1909; moved to Oglesby (Portland) Illinois by 1900. Lived there until +/-1926 then returned to Italy. Still alive at end of WW II. Contractor in Oglesby while there, also police chief +/-1922 thru Dec 1925. Witnessed naturalization of JOHN DA RIN, La Salle County, Illinois 19 January 1904. No record of FRANK DA RIN'S naturalization in La Salle County--possibly Will County. No birth record of daughter in Will County. Relatives in Rutland, Illinois, 1925--believed to be JOE DA RIN & wife JULIA ZANETTO-DA RIN (married @ Rutland 8 June 1901)--JOE'S parents were ANTON AND CORONA DA RIN--buried in St Patrick's Cemetery, Will County, Illinois. Also had niece--JULIETTA (JULIA ) DA RIN--who lived with family in Oglesby, then later in Peru, Illinois as late as 1925--possibly a teacher. Possible relatives--JOE DA RIN, naturalized 1904 in La Salle County; VICTOR JOHN DA RIN--petition to naturalize 1920, electrician by trade, lived in La Salle, Illinois in 1920.
