I hope someone out there in Will County-land may recognize the name. o I have a Bible for the William H. SHIFFER and Elizabeth KARR family. The genealogy information is: William H. SHIFFER and Elizabeth KARR married 17 March 1874 at   the bride's house. W. H. SHIFFER born 23 May 1845, Pennsylvania Elizabeth KARR born 13 August 1853, Ohio Nettie E. SHIFFER born 12 December 1875 in Manhattan, Illinois Edna Laura SHIFFER born 2 April 1877 in Manhattan, Illinois William H. SHIFFER born 20 January 1882 in Manteno, Illinois     The Bible (not a King James Version) is old and fragile. Contents include funeral card and poems for William SHIFFER, Jr. who died at age 9.
