It is in the first ward of Joliet where the old Illinois State Prison is and was. JUST below Lockport township.Joliet has streets which switch names when they cross certain points in the town and township even though they are one continuous street. Will County Death index (1877-1915) BURNS James age 87yrs died 21 sep 1911, Joliet, buried Mt. Olivet Cemetery,Joliet (Note means there is a death certificate available from the Will County Clerk's office on North Chicago Street, Joliet,IL. Cost was $14.00 to get a copy last time I checked. Might try for an obit from Joliet Public Library, reference dept. contact Roger Gilmore. Cost is about $5.00 per request. Addresses for both on will county website under useful links and/or resources. Also try Catholic cemeteries office, on Independance Blvd.,Romeoville,IL(address and phone on will county site at top of page marked cemeteries)ask for Joliet, Mt. Olivet, then James Burns info and then ask who else is buried there). If I were you, I'd check the 1850 census entries for James BURNS(if you haven't already) The reason for checking all entries-Because the James G. listed worked for the Chicago & Alton Railroad-he could have been anywhere in Illinois. Railraods came into Joliet in early 1850's. Illinois,Cook County,Canal Boats, page 452 Illinois,Cook County,E.
