Hello Robert: According to "The First Catholic Church in Joliet, Illinois" pub. 1960, which contains extractions of records of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, p. 135, John Patrick Burns, the son of James Burns and Elizabeth "Sharadan" was baptized on 5 December 1841 by Fr. Hippolyte DuPontavice. Sponsors were Francis Thigh and Anne Doharty. Hope this helps.
