Hi Listers - I am still trying to find my CLOSE family who lived in Joliet in 1930 and then in New Lenox in 1945 and 1951. The two CLOSE's listed in the online phonebook in Joliet belong to a different CLOSE family. In the 1930 census, George J. CLOSE, age 31, was working as a "Radiotrician" at a Department Store in Joliet. He was married to Sadie, age 31, and they had a daughter Janice A. CLOSE age 1 yr and three months, so she would have been born about January 1929. There may have been more children in this family, born after 1930.
