Hi Ve, By any chance, is this book still in print? I could really use it. I would love the information to hunt it down. I am unclear, though, does this tell you where the info is located? Would you be kind enough to check some names for me. I am desperate !!!!! I am at a loss on my maternal line, German and Swede. I will be glad to supply all the additional info I have. I visited Joliet and found gravesites of some of these families with my Aunt. She also provided as much as she could with documents and memories. Have leads in the Joliet Directories of the 1880s and 1890s. I just can't make connections or find the immigrants. The German lines are Barz/Bartz, Becker, and Selinger. The Swede line is Wenberg and some form of Soderlund or Suderland. All should be in Joliet about 1880. I know the Barz were members of St. Peters Lutheran in Joliet and have some dates from them. At least some of the Wenbergs were members of a Methodist Church. I have the "1878 History of Will County" that is index and I do look-ups in it. It has many bios, real estate list, plus many neames of the clergy, politicians, and county officials and much more. Both of my parents and their lineage is from Will county. On my father's side, it goes back to Mokena in the 1830s. Thanks for any leads. Best Regards, Tricia M.
