Hi List, My g-g- aunt's first husband, Wilhelm Baur died on Sept. 1, 1910 supposedly in Monee. Is there a death index for Will Co. before 1916 or should I send off a request to the Will Co. Clerk's office (along with the money) and hope they have one? Thanks, Missy in Michigan

Hi, I do look-ups in the 1878 History of Will County IL. I try to look up names when posted. In the Real Estate Owners List for Crete Twp. there is a Wm. Baurmeister on page 968. Since Wilhelm is german for William and Baurmeister might have been shortened to Baur, thought you might find this helpful, if your Wilhelm was at least 50 when he died.
