    1. [ILWILL] Albert P. Stevens and Jerome P. Stevens
    2. I am seeking the middle name for Albert P. Stevens and Albert P. Stevens Jerome P. Stevens was the youngest son of Henry Kimball Stevens and Mary Ann Bissell Stevens of Joliet. He was born in Illinois about 1854. He was married to Clara Belle Jones in 1891 in Will Co. He was well known in Joliet, wealthy and influential and served on many community boards. He was a member of the Joliet or Will Co Country Club, on the board of Oakwood Cemetery, on a hospital board and others. Albert P. Stevens was the son of Henry Kimball Stevens and Mary Ann Bissell Stevens of Joliet. He was born in Michigan about 1841. Albert P. Stevens was married to Anna M. E. Harris in McClean Co, Illinois in 1868, after Albert came back from the Civil War (where he was a QuarterMaster). He was apparently well known for his love of horses. Neither obit for the above men mentions his middle name. It was given only as P. P could stand for PIERCE, PELEG, or PARTRIDGE. Pierce is the name of the probable brother (Pierce B. Bissell) of Mary Ann Bissell Stevens. Peleg is the first name of Henry Kimball Stevens' brother, Peleg Stevens of Kalamazoo, MI. Patridge is the middle name of Mary Ann Bissell Stevens' probable grandfather, John Partridge Bissell (surveyor of the Western Reserve). Because there are no early court marriage records in PA, where Mary Ann and Pierce were born, and there was no probate for their probable father, William Bissell, we only have circumstantial evidence connecting them to each other and to the family of William Bissell. The evidence, though circumstantial, is overwhelming, but we are seeking something that would definately link Pierce to Mary Ann...AND./or link them to the Bissell line we suspect. At least one of the two above men may have been middle named Pierce, and we would like to confirm that. It's the only thing we can find that would make the final link between Pierce and Mary Ann, as brother and sister. Thank you for any help. Julie Bissell Tupker
