The History of Will County book was published in 1878. The copy I used was at the Minn Hist Society in St. Paul, MN There probably are copies available in the Will-Grundy Counties Genealogical Society Library (which I have never been to). In addition to history, the book has biographies of leading citizens organized by city (Peotone, etc). There is name index that was prepared in the 1970's or so. I trust its data because the biographies are of people who were alive in 1878. Good luck.
