Looking for information on the following: George Jorgenson (aka George Jorgeson) of Elwood, Illinois. Born Sept 30, 1848 in Denmark (would like to know the city). Married Mar 15, 1873 somewhere in Chicago (would like to know where), died Dec 31, 1924 in Will County (presumably Elwood). He apparently had a brother named Peter Jorgensen (note the different spelling of the last name), although I haven't been able to completely prove this who also lived in Elwood. George's wife's name was Maria Catherina Bendixen. Both appear to be buried in Elk Grove Cemetary (also hard to prove because their headstones just read Mother and Father). Would very much like to be able to get a copy of their immigration and naturalization records, or some other source that would verify their names back in Denmark, provide the city there, or other information of interest. I've heard them described as pioneers of Will County, but not sure the designation fits. Also unsure if George might have been involved in the Civil War or not (or if any of his children were in the WW I). Any information you can provide will be of great interest.
