The "1878 History of Will County Illinois" has a "Real Estate Owners" list. In the section for Peotone Twp., there is a notation for....... "Pfiel, George, farmer". I have discovered typos in the past, so am assuming this is meant to be Pfeil. There is no one else listed in the index. If you find another possible spelling or surnames connected to this family group, please contact me again. Often times references are made about connected lines without giving the name, ie Mrs. John Doe was pleased for her brother to come from WI with his family and their parents to visit. The additional detail in a bio can determine where your ancestors were even if they weren't named, since Mrs. John Doe would be the only name indexed.
