I just received a copy of an 1877 MARRIAGE LICENSE from Will Co., IL It was signed by CHRISTIAN SANS, Pastor of the German Lutheran Church. Does anyone know in which village or town his church was located.? Sue12632@aol.com

Sue, It would have been the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Joliet . He was still the pastor in 1887.
