Hi, I'm having some problems with my Will Co. family. My BOHLING's/BOLAN were in 1840 Will Co. IL. The census indicates 2 of the families members were in commerce. What could that mean, banking? Andrew is listed in Will Co as the head of household (age 60 to 70), there is 1 woman in the household 30 to 40, the other males are 1 (10-15), 2 (15-20) & 1 (30-40). His son Michael is listed as a head of household on another page. Andrews 3 sons moved to Lake Co., IN. I don't know who the others in the 1840 census were. They could have stayed behind in Will Co.
