Morning Lori, Probably did buy the land from a private individual rather than a federal sale. All the records are up for land sales for illinois. I can do a look up on land records but without a date it will take about two hours to do the search and I don't live in Joliet so at this time of the year-the weather is a restrictive factor. Kathy
