When I got William Manning's pension application, it stated that he was a 1st class musician and that he enlisted from Camp Douglas in Chicago. I'm unsure what 2nd class reserves means? William did only serve 90 days. He also served with his future brother-in-laws, William C. Harrah and C. Harrah.
