Johann Friedrich Klockow b. December 18, 1824 in Germany. He arrived in Will County, IL in 1852. John is listed in Directory of Real Estate Owners, Monee Township, 1878 as a farmer. I am not sure if this mean he owned the land or if he just farmed it. Also, according to the Will County General Directory for 1872-73, he was a farmer residing on the S 1/2 of the SW quarter of Section 20 of Monee township, Will County, IL (Today this is approximately directly west of Interstate 57 south of Chicago.) What I am looking for is any information on this land. He later moved to Iowa in 1878 after the death of his wife Caroline Juenke. Christine
