I am looking for the surnames SOLON/SOLAN and ANDREWS in McLean, Livingston and Will counties in IL. I will share what I have so far on this SOLON family to help you locate information about my ancestors. My grandmother was Evelyn Agnes SOLON born 28 Dec 1898 in Graymont, Livingston County, IL. She had the following siblings: Florence Ruth, Helen Marie, Duane Leo, Vincent "Bud", Catherine Elizabeth "Cass", Paul, and Edward Jerome "Jerry". Her father was Joseph SOLON (born about 1869 in Cayuga, IL) who was married 14 Aug 1893 in McLean County, IL to Susan Elizabeth Andrews (born April 17, 1875 in Pontiac, Livingston Co., IL). Joseph was the son of Thomas Solon born about 1836 in Ireland who married Sarah McGuire? born about 1835 also in Ireland. The children in this family include: Teresa (born 1862 Shirley, McLean Co., IL) (buried St. Paul's Cemetery outside Odell, IL), Nora "Nan" (born 1864 Lockport, IL), Isabel (born 1865 IL), Mary (born 1867 IL), Joseph (born 1869 Cayuga, IL), Agnes (born 1872 IL), and Sarah (born 1878 IL). (1880 census: Odell Twp, Livingston Co., IL) (vol. 34, sheet 14, line 14, Ed 114) This census lists the following family: SOLON: Thomas 44 born Ireland Sarah 45 born Ireland Teresa 17 born Illinois Isabel 15 born Illinois Mary 13 born Illinois Joseph 11 born Illinois Agnes 08 born Illinois Sarah 02 born Illinois This is as much as I know about the SOLON line from which I descend. This mean that Joseph SOLON was married in this county in 1893 and his sister Teresa was born in Shirley, McLean Co., IL in 1862. Susan Elizabeth ANDREWS (born April 17, 1875 in Pontiac, Livingston Co., IL) was the daughter of Thomas and Mary Evaline (BRADY) SOLON both were born before 1855, but I am not sure when exactly or where.
