In the book: A Necrology of Will County Pioneers, 1897-1902 by the Will Grundy Genealogical Society p. 27 25 Feb 1899 - William Constable, of Beecher, aged 79 years. He had been a resident of eastern Will County since 1855. p. 28 11 March 1899 -Mrs. Mary Constable, widow of the late Wm. Constable of Beecher, aged 78 years. She came to eastern Will county in 1856.\ from A History of Will County, 1878, published by Wm LeBaron Jr. & Co. Chicago p. 271 "Washington & Will" (townships) " The township of Will, lying east of Washington, was settled about the same time. ...in 1854-5, John Sollitt, F. P. Lilly, P. McMahon, Robert Patterson, William Constable and William Pickard." p. 651 "In 1855, William Constable, James Pickard, Robert Patterson, and R. O. Hutchins came, the first three from New York and the last from Vermont. William Constable has been a most successful man in business. When he came to this place he was as poor as the poorest; but by industry, economy and good management he has made quite a fortune. His property is estimated at about $25,000." That's all I had in my records. You should contact the Will/Grundy Genealogical Society for more information!
