I'm looking for information on William Connor (b. 1838, County Roscommon, Ireland s/o Thomas and Bridget Waldron Connor). He came first to Joliet, then lived in Wilmington, Braidwood, and finally settled in Morris. While in Will Co., he was well known as a farmer and also was in business with his brothers in a meat market known as Connor Bros. His sons (Thomas G., Bernard, and William) took over the business when he retired and ran it in Morris. He married Mary Callehan who predeceased him. My great-great grandfather, Thomas R. Connor of Morris, Grundy Co., IL was also in the meat market business and we always understood that he was part of the original Connor Bros. but we have no proof because we don't know much about Thomas R.'s family, only that his father was also named Thomas (as was William's father). Since Thomas R Connor's daughter worked for Connor Bros. meat market, I suspect that either Thos. R was a brother to William and partner in the business, or William may possibly have been a cousin to Thomas R. I'd be happy to hear from any Connor descendants. Thank you. Rita
