Hi Kathy :) Yesterday, Michelle sent me a few files that were the answer to my dream ... I think I can figure out where Michael Manning's land was located by superimposing the map she sent me. If I cannot do it that way, the land records would give me the exact location. What am I looking for in those land records? Just trying to reach out and touch them :) I've seen other deed info, and the most they usually have in addition to the land location is the name of friends and witnesses. You said weather is restrictive at this time of year? Can you give us a glimpse into what life is like in Joliet? I was born and raised in Southern California and now live in Denver, so I at least know what Winter is like *grin* Perhaps you know of a URL that gives one a "glimpse into the life" of a Channahonian?
