i was hoping someone knew of a "parent" church to st johns in beecher. i have been thru the st johns book-that is how i found the birth/baptism of their first child born 10mos after marriage. i have also been thru microfilms of chicago churchbooks-still searching...am waiting for another film to come in of another will co church. i did get another lead today from a woman whose gggm maiden name was mummelthei who she found on the 1870 census as a 15yr old in another surname's household-so i can begin again with that surname. the families that came to iowa (before 1870) left full sibs and half sibs in illinois but we never knew the "step" surname! thanks, angie visit:http://community.webtv.net/web-angie/Webspinsters (always evolving)
