Kathy, I kinda have a doubt in my mind about that old tombstone that was found. It was a common practice among stone cutters, to "unload" unpaid-for headstones and "mistakes" as pavers. Not that I can or cannot prove that stone, one way or 'tother. I think that the west side cemetery was just east of St. Patrick's Cemetery, just above the DesPlaines River bluff on Exchange St. (today's Jefferson St.) Is that Reed St.? Larry Peet
