Hi Deb, Closest cemetery would be Wilton Center less than 2 miles from Wallingford. Only thing in Wallingford NOW is a grain elevator. Wallingford is in Wilton Township. Next closest cemeteries would be Peotone going east and Manhattan going north. Kathy

Am looking for cemeteries in the Wallingford area of Will County. My g-g-grandfather had a farm, which was later sold in the 1930, and he died. Don't think he was buried far from the farm. He died approx 1907ish. Thank you Deb _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com

The LARGEST catholic cemetery in Joliet is Mt. Olivet-very active. St. Patrick's is the FIRST catholic cem.,joliet-online will county website. Also on will county website the address for the catholic cemeteries office of will county which has all headstones in all catholic cemeteries in all of will county. They are sorted first by city, then cemetery name, then alpha by surname. That address is under the heading cemeteries I think. Regular weekly business hours-
Thanks for responding. I called the Catholic cemeteries office, and there were no Rickeys in any Catholic cemeteries that the lady looked up for me. However, there are two more that I haven't checked yet, Mount Moriah (Mt. Rose) and Saint Joseph Cemetery. If you have the time, could you get the phone numbers for me? I have been trying to get them, and have had no luck. (I live in Seattle). thanks, Joan Byrne ----- Original Message ----- From: zavada <zavada@uti.com> To: <ILWILL-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, June 11, 2002 12:47 PM Subject: Re: [ILWILL] Catholic Cemeteries in Joliet, c. 1900 > The LARGEST catholic cemetery in Joliet is Mt. Hi Joan, there is a Holy Cross Catholic Church (?School) and Cemetery. That is where my RYBAs, and other surnames are buried. I cannot find the address and telephone number right now -- but I have called Holy Cross and they were very helpful to me in providing baptismal, marriage and death records. I am looking for the cemetery that my great grandparents were buried in in Joliet. They were Catholic, so I thought I would start with the Catholic cemeteries. One death was around 1900 and the other in 1923. I have found a Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Joliet, but cannot find a phone number for it. The address is 1350 E. Cass, Joliet. I would appreciate any information. My families in Joliet are RICKEY, GLEASON, RYAN. John and Bridget Rickey ran a hotel at 35 South Joliet Street in 1880 (census record). Thanks, Joan Byrne

I am looking to tie up several loose ends in my database by connecting the multitudes of BRUNS families. BRUNS have married other names such as: BURMEISTER, SASS, MEIER, BRANDS, KUHL, KNEISE, KOELLING, JAHN, and PETERS. There are probably many more. The majority of this activity ranges from 1850 thru present, and is mainly in eastern Will County. I'll welcome any and all information. Linda Schwiesow Nycum North Palm Beach FL
Thank you so much. I'm not trying to be pushy but there is one more I would like to add. Mary Pasternak nee Glad b. January 22, 1909 in Alabama (I think) d. January 1984 in Joliet I don't know the exact day that she died. Please don't spend a lot of time on this one. If you happen to find it that would be great. Also, I'm new to the mailing list. How do I reply back to you without having your message appear again like this one does? Cathy Mamaz46@aol.com wrote: > Happy to do it. Happy to do it. I know I appreciate any help I get from others.
I live in Arizona, but am going to Joliet for a Graduation. I was planning to stop at the Library if I have time. I will print out your request and see what I can find for you.
Thank you so much. I hope it won't be too much trouble. Don't make a special trip to the library just for me. Go and enjoy your time with your friends and relatives. Hope to hear from you soon.
