Since the children were born in Illinois, I checked 1860 census, and found this family where several things match. In Hopkins Twp in 1860: Murry, Henry 41 M VT farm laborer Jane 35 F Vt (age and birthplace match Ellen, but not name) Isabella 11 F VT Ellen 6 F IL (matches Ella in 1870) Henry 1 M IL (matches Henry in 1870) OK...from the marriage index, she was Jane! PLANT, IRA L MURRAY, JANE MRS WHITESIDE 09/27/1865 / 00001345 Found Noah Fogg in 1860 in Sterling. Fogg, Noah 56 M ME Cooper (Birthplace was VT in 1870) Sarah 42 F NY Yang, Emily R. 23 F LA Let me know if you want anything else checked! Bob
