Nov 18, 1879; he died in Whiteside county, was told death in Apr or May 1934; I found a listing of Illinois deaths showing a James Franklin Lawson died in Coloma Township on Sep 8, 1929. If anyone is also pursuing Lawson family - I would like to verify date of death and also get information on ggrandfather James F. Lawson, he lived in Illinois, returned to Michigan leaving wife (Rebecca Jane) and 3 children behind. Grandmother was Ada May Padgett (1st husband Thomas Owens), she was from Indiana but after her marriage lived the rest of her life in Rock Falls, Ill - died there Sep 7, 1961.
