But...the marriage information was a direct copy and paste from the index, so is what was there and I doublechecked the 1880 censu and it does show 43. It looks like one of the records is wrong and I would suspect the marriage record. Or, there is another William Carley in Henry County who married Phoebe Reynolds! In the 1880 census, there first child was born around 1862, so perhaps this was a keystroke error and the marriage occurred in 1859 instead of 1849...Phoebe would have been 22 and having their first child a couple years later makes sense. You would have to probably actually check the Henry County Marriage records to verify this. Bob
