I am researching an incident that occurred in KANE County back in 1885. According to the newspaper articles of the day, the individual that I am researching was involved in a home invasion in Morrison, WHITESIDE County during July of that year. As a result of that crime, the newspaper states that MRS. LAPHAM died the following day from "fright". Any information on this family, the incident or otherwise would be greatly appreciated.
