John and Susannah (Susan) Sykes were married in New York and came to Whiteside (Clyde)before 1860. They are on the 1860, 1870, and 1880 census with their children Richard, John, Susanna, Ellen (Helen), and William. John Sykes the elder was born around 1818. Susannah Sykes, his wife, was born around 1817.
