Affie Smith His mother, Sarah Merricks, was possibly living in Whiteside. She remarried after her husband (also named, Charles Pomeroy Ripley) died. I do not know her married name. Helen Nesbitt Coat's father, Thomas Coats, could also have been living in Illinois. Does anyone have any info on these people?
