    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Zh.2ADE/1920.1.1 Message Board Post: It's certainly possible. In 1880, David was 50-years-old and Anna was 30, just six years older than David's only (as far as I can tell) surviving child out of six. Was eighteen the age of consent? If so, that wouldn't have been an issue for David & Anna, but maybe her family objected to her marrying a man 20 years her senior. Or, like you said, maybe it was just a nice wedding trip to Iowa. Some of the family had settled in Iowa, in Jasper and Mahaska counties, but that seems a little far to travel for a wedding. David's parents were living with him in 1870, but moved back to Wood County Ohio, where his father presumably died in 1874 - at least he was buried in Wood County in 1874. I don't know that David Kelly McCombs who married Rosetta is a relative, but I don't reject any possibilities. Thanks for looking.
