Hi Sheila, Sorry to have been so late in responding to your query on Rootsweb. We had our three grand kids for the summer, WHEW!!! I know why young folks are the ones to give birth. Ha Ha! My immigrant FRANK ancestor; Christian Michael FRANK, 1865-1946, had no child named Arthur. I don't know the name of any of his nephews, as he did have two brothers, however, who came to America; Fred and Jacob. All I can tell you about them is they were all from Baden-Württemberg, children of Phillip Michael Jacob FRANK and Elizabethe Christiane Bauer, m. 30 Jun 1864. Re: FHL films for, Öberamt Öhringen, Michaelbach am Wald Parish These were very hard to read, and I was thankful that there were German speaking research aids on hand to help, at the SL Family Hist. Library. My great-grandparents first settled near Coleta, Whiteside Co., IL. and worked for Christina's uncle, Adam Horlacher, on his farm there. During my last trip to the Whiteside Co. court house in Morrison IL. I copied FRANK names from the document lists there and found the following; Marriage Cert. # 9150, Date 2-20-1895 for Jacob FRANK and Lizzie RUCK and 10,969, 10-02-1901 Jacob FRANK & Barbara KLINE and Birth Cert., #10,626, 02-12-1904 to William T. & Elsie Rose Marine; a son; Arthur, John FRANK I also recommend the Secy. of State. of IL State sites below, where the above may appear.. For marriages; http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/cgi-bin/archives/marriage.s For some births; http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/departments/archives/carroll.html And from the Carroll Co. Gene. Soc. Web site; http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~haliotis/marriages.htm http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~haliotis/funerals.htm http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~haliotis/bapte-g.htm http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~haliotis/hbaptismsa-f.htm http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~haliotis/hfunerals.htm http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~haliotis/hfunerals3.htm http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~haliotis/hbaptismsa-f3.htm I hope I have provided some clues. Let me know if you find a connection to the above Jacob or Fred FRANK. Cheers, Jim
