Samuel and Eunice lived in the town of Fulton. Owned three lots,NW corner of 8th ave and 10th St. Sold to a William J.Sikkema who sold it in 1941 to Anna Sikkema. Samuel and Eunice had some type of store in Fulton, no idea where or selling what. Eunice was raised in the Thomson, Ill area believed to have been born in Ohio. Samuel's place of birth unknown possibly Ohio or Va. They had eight children two died young. Samuel,Eunice,Mercy and Harriette are all buried in the Fulton Cemetery. Also my grandfather, a son Ulysses Grant Mason and his wife Harriette Josephine along with two of their children Gladys and Marion. A daughter Myrtle Mason married Samuel Strubb in 1895. My mother always said she was born in Thomson,Ill. Samuel b. 12-31-1848 d. 06-06-1926. Eunice b. 09-02-1850 d. 09-07-1917. Ulysses Grant Mason married Harrette Josephine Hicok in 1895 she was a daughter of Joel R. Hicok and Lydia E.(Gardiner)(Chicker or Chicken)Hicok. Joel's first wife was Hellen (Harrison) Lamb.
