He married (1) MARIAN DERATT 1852 in Cayuga Co., NY. She was born 1837 in Cayuga Co., NY, and died in 1867 in Whiteside Co., IL. He married (2) SARAH OLIVIA BURNHAM 09 July 1871 in Whiteside Co., IL. She was born 26 August 1838 in Manlius, Onondaga Co., NY. George was the son of George FORWARD and Sarah CAGER. ********************** Last Will and Testament of George Forward of the village of Tampico, County of Whiteside and State of Illinois, made published and declared this 31 day of October, A.D. 1903. I, George Forward, of the village of Tampico, County of Whiteside and State of Illinois, being of sound mind and memory but know that it is ordained unto all to die, do hereby make make, publish, and declare this my last will and testament; that is to say, First: I desire that my body be given a christian burial and all expenses attending same, including all my just and legal obligations be fully paid. Second: After the payment as provided for in the preceding section, all the rest and residue of my personal property of every kind, nature and description and wherever situated I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Sarah, she to have and hold the same as her own property absolutely, and it is my desire that any of the personal property undisposed of at the time of the death of my said wife Sarah shall be given to my children, Minnie Craddock and Albert L. Forward, share and share alike. Third: I hereby give and devise to my beloved wife, Sarah the income derived from all my real estate of which I may die possessed, during her natural life, she to have the right to occupy and the possession of said real estate as long as she shall live. Fourth: I hereby give and devise to my said children, Minnie Craddock and Albert L. Forward all of the real estate of which I may die possessed to have and to hold the same as their own property absolutely. Their right to the possession of same to begin at the expiration of the life estate provided for my said wife in the section three of this instrument. In testimony thereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this ___ day of October, A.
