Palmer, Jan. 1862 in Whiteside co. Ill. they had four children born in Ill. the last born 1870 by 1880 I find them in Black Hawk co. Iowa. My question is about his brother Francis H. Baker born 1847 in MI. he is on the 1880 census, Garden Plain, Whiteside, Ill. with 4 children age 9 to 2 all born in Iowa, mother born Iowa, but she is not present. Who was she, is she buried in Whitside. Francis is a Civil Vet enlisted from Carroll co. Ill. He was wonded and died many years later from a ball near his spine. Francis remarried in Nebraska and had more children. I would like to exchange information with some one who knows more about this Baker family. The parents of these two men were Philemon and Aurela Mudge Baker.
