Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Zh.2ADE/1848 Message Board Post: I am looking for information about Catharine Pease, a resident of Fulton, Whiteside county from before 1860 until her death, on Jan. 10, 1913. I believe her husband's name was Samuel Pease, but he does not appear in any census records. She had two children, Freeman Warren, b. abt. 1859, and Thea, b. Sept. 14, 1864. Thea married Alexander Brightman on Feb. 25, 1885. Catharine Pease, nee Amundsdatter, was born in Norway about 1822. She emigrated to America in 1846, through New Orleans to Clinton, IA. She married Abraham Christensen (Chrestensen) on Feb. 17, 1847, probably in St. Louis, MO. They had one son, Otto August, born in 1851. Abraham died in 1855, and Catharine remarried before 1860. In particular, I am interested in information about her origins in Norway. An obituary, or biographical sketch would be most helpful. I believe she owned property about 3 miles outside of Fulton in the earlier years. Thanks, Robert Christensen
