Margaret, There was a divorce granted to Mary Short on 13 Jan 1900. The defendant was Chas. M. Short. I have no other information about this. Chas. LeRoy Abbott died Nov. 14, 1939. He was buried in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison, IL on Lot 13 Section N. He was a resident of Fulton at the time of his death.
