<Your William & Benjamin Bruce would be the brothers to Isaac Jones Bruce who married Lucy Walters daughter of Anderson & Elizabeth (Joyner)Walters. Robert Bruce above was the brother of Benjamin and my ggggf William Bruce (father of my gggm Milly Bruce DUGGER) as well as several other siblings. Of course all the names are just about interchangeable in all these Bruce families so it is hard to sort out which belonged to which bunch! Isaac Jones then proceeded to marry Lucy Walter Dec 3, 1840 in White Co. They had the following children: Elizabeth b. abt 1841, William A. abt 1843, James T abt 1846, Berry T. abt 1849, Mary A. abt 1852, Susan V. abt 1854, Albert N. abt 1858, Lucy L. abt 1861, Josephus abt 1863 and Thomas J abt 1866. My sources for the children are the White CO 1880 and 1860 Census records. Isaac Jones' brother, William Mattison ,married Sarah Maria Millspaugh March 5, 1835 according to the History of White Co. Their children were Thomas, Franklin, a daughter unknown, Isaac T., Solomon S. and Robert J., source also the History of White Co. I will be very interested to hear what you have to say about this.
