Does anyone know anything on the following folks ? ESPECIALLY the Jones side. William J is NOT show in the 1880 White Co Census. Only Mary & kids. Can someone check the 1870 census ? The m date may be wrong. They were supposed to have been active in the Primitive Baptist Church and William J & William L were possibly preachers. THANKS ! Well, there were six Wm.'s in White Co. in 1870. I found one with a wife named Mary, in Burnt Prairie Twp., but he doesn't sound much like yours except birthplace. Here he is (Jun 7, 1870): Wm., 53, w, m, laborer. b. VA Mary, 33, w, f, b. IL Chas. 9 Wm. 7 Martha 5 Nettie 4 All ch. b. ON considering your marriage date, it's likely that the older children in the census are from a first marriage for William. --- SSpunk@aol.com wrote: > Does anyone know anything on the following > folks ?
