Hi, I realized when reading my own words a bit ago - my earlier posting about obtaining access to the database through your local library - that I sounded a bit holier-than-thou. So sorry, not my intent at all. Just that every now and then one of these windows is open for a bit, then disappears. Heritage Quest really is a great resource, and I couldn't live without it. If you have a chance to obtain full access through your library, it is well worth it. Again, my apologies to anyone who might have thought that I was taking issue with the earlier posting. I would have thought so myself, if I weren't me! Janis Walker Gilmore Pawleys Island, SC & Seattle, WA
Janis, I did not see this as preaching, but a good suggestion. I discovered many months ago that our local library had this service available to anyone with a library card and have found it to be a well used site. It would be worth anyone's time to check.
