I know, this drives me nuts. Adele Smith (Joseph Harmon) is my 1st cousin 3 times removed. Her Aunt Sarah Jane Smith is my great-great grandmother who married a Skiles which apparently has NO or UNKNOWN connections to Adele and Joseph's daughter Marjorie who married a Skiles. ALL living in White County, Carmi/Enfield/Grayville area. I have talked to many researchers more knowledgeable than I who have yet to find a connection between the two families. It makes you wonder how so many researchers can have so much information on two families that SHOULD be connecting and just aren't. There's always that one elusive person keeping us from it.
