Hi, I am researching in White County for a James Orville McGhee born January 21, 1880 in Norris City Illinois. I have his death certificate from Franklin County Illinois, that states his birth date and place of birth, it also lists his mothers name as Amanda (maiden name unknown) also born in White County Illinois, father is unknown. I have looked in the 1880 and 1900 census indexes for this family but have not found them yet, I was looking in some of the mailing list archives and seen many Mcghee researchers, just wondering if anyone has information about James or Amanda I did find James married to Telitha (Felitha) Messer in the 1910 census in Union County Illinois, not sure where they got married.
