I am behind in reading my mail. I am reading that Lick Creek baptist Church had been torn down! A shame. I just went there this summer and took pictures of that lovely old building. unfortunately, the film for the head stones didn't comeout( bad camera!). Luckily we used two cameras. I am decended from Samuel Chapman and Christenia Chaney, through andrew Jackson Chapman and Jane( Janett, Janice???) McGhee, who is listed on the church records. I's love to find out who samuel's father is?( Daniel Chapman?) and the family of christenia Chaney and who are the parents of Jane Mcghee( who I think is sister to Rut( rutha) Mcghee who married Nicholas Huff... The first Newsletter is being mailed today--16 pages, with a Russell Descendant Report, a McMurty article, and articles by Raleigh Sutton, Charlene Shields, Janet Armstrong, and the rest of the Directors, a member list (of the first 92), 3 pages of GREAT queries, etc., etc., etc....
