Carol, When my father passed away, also of Alzheimer's. My husbands aunt sent me a little saying that I found very comforting, and I hope you do also. They say that when a loved one dies that they are with God. So if they are with God, and God is with us, then they can't be far away. She had the disease for approximately 10 years. We believe the cause of death to be a massive heart attack. We are awaiting for official confirmation on the death certificate.
