Laurel, What the database from Carl Shelton shows is that Isaac Jones Bruce was a descendent of Robert Bruce, born about 1764. His father was John Bruce b. 1742 and Mary Smith. Benjamin F. who married Tabitha Stephens is supposed to be a descendent of the brother of Robert, named Benjamin Bruce Sr., b. 1768. Of course, this database is unsourced so there is no way to confirm all the information. You should check the Gallatin Co. site for the Bruce family members listed there. West Union and Union cemetery are different, as is West Union, but all are located in White County. Hazel Ridge, which also has some Bruces, is actually just over the Gallatin Co. line.
