She was born Feb. 3, 1924, in Mill Shoals Township. Kathryn was the daughter of Carl and Gladys (Poole) Leathers. She married Marvin H. Dozier August 13, 1938 in Morganfield, Ky. He preceded her in death Aug. 19, 2001. Kathryn loved to play music with her family and enjoyed quilting. She was a Red hatter, and a member of the Springerton American Legion Auxiliary. She was a member of the Springerton Methodist Church as well as the Enfield Methodist Church. Kathryn is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Joan Dozier of Enfield; a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Don Poore of Springerton; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Maxine Leathers of Midland, Tx.; a sister and brother-in-law, Frieda and James Rockett of Enfield; four grandchildren, Don Poore Jr., Stewart Poore, Tonya Smith, and Scott Smith; nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and many friends. Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Cheryl Cameron; and a sister and brother-in-law, Ganelle and Floyd Newby. Funeral services will be held Friday, Mar. 16, 2012, at 10 am at Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Enfield. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 pm in the funeral home.
