Hunt, 69, of Evansville, Ind., passed away Friday, March 23, 2012, at St. Mary's Medical Center in that city. She was born November 19, 1942, in Evansville. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed crocheting, camping, fishing and word searches. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Hunt; and her parents, Walter and Thelma Martin. She is survived by sons, Stanford Hunt (Sue) and William Hunt; daughter, Cynthia Hunt; grandchildren, Joshua Hunt, Christina Newman and Zachariah Hunt; companion, Donald Smith; her dog and best friend, Samson; 22 brothers and sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Dog Town Cemetery in White County, officiated by the Rev. Allen Amstutz. Friends may visit between 4 and 8 p.m. Monday at Alexander West Chapel in Evansville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Vanderburgh County Humane Society.
