Memorial services were held Tuesday, May 2, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. The Rev. Reagan Marsh officiated. A native of Carmi, Bobbie had resided in Albany, Ga. since 1976, moving from Key West, Fla. She was a self-employed master cosmetologist at Southern Styles and a member of Beacon Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin Eugene Cleveland and Frances Ruth Montgomery and a brother, Billy Wayne Cleveland. Survivors include her husband, John Nix, Albany, Ga.; a daughter, Alice McCauley (Danny), Leesburg, Ga.; two sons, Kendale Nix (Kim), Leesburg, Ga., Michael Nix (Tiffany), Albany, Ga.; a sister, Jackie Allen (Glen), Lone Grove, Okla.; two brothers, Jay Cleveland (Jadene), Cordele, Ga., Chuck Cleveland (Helen), Warwick, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Todd Nix, Elayna Nix, Madison Nix, Logan Nix, Taigan McCauley, Tasmyn McCauley and Pyper McCauley; and two great-grandchildren, Aiden Nix and Briley Nix. Bobbie is also survived by local relatives, an uncle, Bill Cleveland of Grayville; an aunt, Jane Cooper (Jerry) Wright of Carmi; a brother-in-law Jeff (Cheryl) Nix of Carmi; a sister-in-law, Louise (Chalon) Tuggle of New Haven, and Frank (Rebecca) Nix of Marion.
